Power Play by Emily Cale (Decadent Publishing)

Thanks so much to Cassandra for agreeing to have me on her blog today to talk about my newest release, POWER PLAY.

When Decadent Publishing first started their 1 Night Stand series, I never imagined it would gain the fan base that it currently has. I should’ve though. It truly is a magical idea and I tip my hat to the creators constantly. If you haven’t read one of the 1NS books, I’ll tell you why you should.

Imagine that you are having rotten luck in your love life. Or maybe it has simply grown stale and you don’t know how to fix it. Perhaps you are ready to settle down and spend the rest of your life with your own personal hero, but he’s nowhere to be found. That is where Madame Eve and the 1NS service come in. The characters are often hesitant and disbelievers when they start. How can a woman who they’ve never met, have the ability to pick out someone who is perfect for them?

In some cases, like in POWER PLAY, it is the best friend who sets up the initial date. Natalie is set up by her best friend who used the service in the first Hat Trick Trilogy Book (GOALIE INTERFERENCE). She wants something more than the average night in a hotel room. She imagines this as the opportunity to make all her dreams come true. So she makes a call and changes the “order” for the evening. Instead of one hunky man, she’ll take two.

GIVEAWAY*: One random commenter will win a USD$5 Amazon.com gift card. Just tell me what you’d “order” if you could have one night. It doesn’t have to be about sex. It could be a vacation with your current partner or anything you want.

POWER PLAY
(Hat Trick Trilogy Book 2)

Natalie Fritz didn’t need a night of sexual adventure as payment for setting her friend up, but she wouldn’t turn it down either. Determined to make sure she gets exactly what she wants, she contacts Madame Eve and requests not one, but two dates for the evening. What she doesn’t expect is for those men to be players on her friend’s hockey team.

Ian and Todd find that sharing women provides all parties with more pleasure. Finding someone who buys into their theory is a little harder. So they turn to Madame Eve’s 1 Night Stand service to locate a partner. When they meet Natalie, they discover a gorgeous woman who turns them on physically and intellectually.

Most relationships are meant to be between two people, but what happens when it takes three to make the night worthwhile? Can they take a leap of faith or will their time be limited to one night?

  1. If I could have one night that I could have anything I wanted, I would have a night 100% free of pain and able to run and do the things I used to. Now if it did have to include sex then I am ordering me up some Robert Downey Jr :O) ~Carin

  2. Hmm, that’s a tough one! I guess i would have to choose to have one more night with my grandma. She passed away in July and I miss her terribly.

  3. Hmmm….I’d have a night away from my son. I love him but we’ve not had a night alone since he was born. Maybe in a romantic bungalow over the water in Bora Bora with wine and candles if that isn’t asking too much =)

  4. I am thinking that a night with a sexy, dominate man would be my dream 😉
Although I do like MyReadingObsession’s idea of a night pain free (I have back, hip, & leg problems that cause constant pain), I am afraid though that that one night would just make the next days even worse 🙁 So, I will stick with a tall, dark, and handsome man to make me forget my pain, lol.

  5. I would definitely be interested in Madame Eve finding me the man of my dreams. I’d trust her to set up the perfect date. 😉

I’m definitely a fan of the 1 Night Stand series. I’ve read quite a few of the stories. Power Play sounds really good!

  6. I’d love a trip to Venice w/ my hubby!

  7. Im selfish! I’d do another pub crawl in Edinburgh Scotland, aka the best night of my life! And if I just happened to run into the Aussie again, well……

  8. Great post! I love this cover! 😉
I have read several 1NS books and enjoyed all of then so far. This one sounds like a great addition! I will be adding it to my TBR list. I like the idea of a “matchmaker” setting them all up. 🙂
I would order a trip with just my hubby to Antigua in one of those little individual bungalows. We haven’t been anywhere with just the 2 of us. Lol, while writing this, I read Shannon’s comment and we have a similar mind. Love my babies, but I need some quality time.
Thank you for sharing and for the giveaway.

  9. I would choose a spa pampering session, complete with a sexy massage.
